Today I attended the Specsavers branch in Clare. After my eye test by a very pleasant consultant, I was informed my eyesight had slightly altered, so I decided to get 2 new pairs of glasses. Upon testing various frames, I picked out the pair I liked. As fate would have it, I dropped the glasses I arrived with, which resulted in one of the lens to drop out. Fortunately, the girl who was serving me checked her computer and informed me that the glasses were still under warranty and that she would fix them. While she was attempting to fix them, she...
Read more was joined by another staff member, who apparently told her not to fix them. The girl retuned to me and informed me that the screws were not covered by the warranty, but they could use another frame for just $120. Slightly annoyed, I informed her that I would attempt to fix them myself. Previously, I had never uncounted a problem with getting Specsavers to repair any minor faults. I guess it comes down to who is in charge on any particular day!- 18 reviews

Purchased my reading glasses a few months ago when i noticed that the lenses had started to peel. Not something i would expect on a new pair of glasses. I’ve now been waiting over 3 weeks for a replacement, with staff showing little concern and no apologies given.
We are really lucky because it was kristina who assisted us, she is very accomodating and very helpful. We are very satisfied with the customer service.

Kristina helped us choosing the right glasses that suits us and our budget. Very good customer service. I highly recommended her.

Have been to Specsavers twice now and purchased 4 sets of glasses. First occasion one pair lasted about 8 months before breaking and the second pair weren’t far behind. Thought it might have simply been bad luck so went back and purchased 2 more pairs. Guess what, after just 5 months one pair has the lenses continually falling out and second pair has issues with the arms. Took them back and the lenses were reglued but I was told the arms of the second pair could not be tightened any further. Had a note put on file stating the issues but not happy with this company at all. All hype and promises but poor quality product. Will not be going back a third time.
Me and my wife were served by luke at eastgardens specsavers he made our whole experience satisfying from purchase to pickup great employee you have specsavers

Specsavers have lost our entire family of glasses wearers. I bought 1 expensive pair of glasses last year from them. They were shocking and from the moment I got them spent more time being repaired than on my face. But would they change them? Not on your life despite all the promises. They are staffed with poorly trained people who have no idea how to properly fit. We are done with specsavers

AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. Cheap product with Margins protected by dishonest business practices.
I’ve been a customer of Specsavers for about a decade. This month I returned some faulty frames to the TOOMBUL QLD store. Glasses were not sent away for assessment, instead shop assistant falsely accuses me of painting the frames (huh! what? why would anyone possibly do that?!) thereby voiding the warranty.
My calls to the Melbourne customer service centre amounted to nothing but the same deceitful response.
Reading other reviews I now see that I have fallen victim to a blatant scam Specsavers use to avoid warranty obligations by blaming the customer for their faulty product.
These people are thieves who will never get another cent from me. My advice: AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE and find a reputable optometrist.
Had to argue with the sales girl over soft nose pads as requested.
Then given smudged glasses....clean them at least

Service appalling, sunglasses broke in same place 3 times. First time I took them back, didn’t even ask if they were under warranty, just no can’t be fixed .. they were under warranty!! Same as for the second time, unfortunately not the 3rd, no assistance given what so ever , even though there must have been a fault with them. Will NEVER GO BACK. Wish I had have read reviews first!!!!

My initial contact with the Joondalup store was excellent, happy, bright surrounds with great immediate service.
The wait for the new glasses was a bit long..
Then came the fitting.
The lenses used were not what was specified by me, lower grade which was immediately apparent. Seems no one listened at the original fitting. Again.
Money up front or they don't do business, doesn't matter if SS made the mistakes.
No acknowledgement of the errors made by their staff, contradictory information and when challenged over it the story changed again.p
Use them, best of luck to you. For me they are done. Never a good word about them again.

At first I thought I just encountered a rude store but now I’ve read these reviews and wow. These guys are a scam: Sell cheap rubbish and then don’t honour the warranty. Sigh. More fool me, should have checked here first. LEARN FROM OUR MISTAKES - GO ELSEWHERE!!!

Went for checkup, ordered glasses and it was not comfortable. Went there to recheck my eyes, but, instead they took the old prescriptions and found my eye sight never changed. Well I agree mistakes can happen and I didn't feel bad about that.
So after a lot of up and down with them, we agreed to go the old prescription. So I ended up with the same glasses that I had, with same shapes.
After about a month, the glasses were ready. Went there again to just know it does not stand on my face straight. I told them there, but they looked and said it i...

Appalling customer service to the point of being offensive!
Called to check everything was okay to pick up new glasses, all ok.
When I arrived I was told my glasses had been paid in full, I twice informed them that there was money owing.
I was then told that there systems were down and they couldn’t check for the outstanding amount or accept payment.
So now I am informed I cannot pick up the glasses as there is money outstanding, but they don’t know how much.
If I was dishonest I would have taken them at their word, that the glasses was paid for in full. As I am honest I don’t get to collect my glasses and have a wasted trip!
Asked for my money back but of course they couldn’t do that either. Avoid if possible.
I used to buy my glasses and sunnies from Merrylands specsavers. My issue is with disappointing and horrible quality of specsavers sunglasses. It takes a very short time to glasses to come lose from the frame. It’s not once, twice but all times. When I went to Merrylands shop, the reception is rude and try to divert the blame, asking to make complaint to specsavers head office regarding the quality of sun glasses. I had several instances the lose glass came out and fell to ground. Just waste of money…
Questions & Answers
Specsavers Redbank Qld insist that I am not entitled to have the original lenses from the sunglasses that I have just purchased from them with prescription and polarized lenses. Please tell me this is not so because I also wear contact lenses and that would mean that I cannot use the original lenses as sunglasses when I am wearing the contacts? Why are Specsavers advertising RACQ members discount when they havent applied it to my account?
1. I have frameless titanium arm glasses from Specsavers. Every 2 months I have to go back to the store to have the frames re-plugged because they become so loose they fall off. Is this normal.
2. My major problem with Specsavers glasses is that the coatings (which they insist MUST be applied to strengthen frameless glasses) simply wears or falls off after about 18 months and looks so awful my friends comment on it. I use Specsaver microfibre cloths and cleaning fluid. What is the problem please?
If I fail a eye test at specsavers do they personally inform service NSW to cancel my license
